Orphaned buildings
Orphaned buildings is a term used in relation to building safety remediation programmes by the Welsh Government as well as other Governments to described privately owned buildings where a developer is unknown or has ceased trading. This can lead to complications and a different approach to the instigation of any building remediation required. The term should not be confused with orphanages; residential institutions for the care and education of orphans.
